About the Role
As part of a fast-paced team, you will provide a full range of administrative support to the Radiology Department as required in accordance with the policies, procedures and values of St Vincent's Health. Including but not limited to team management, patient accounts, recruitment, result distribution and administrative education initiatives.
- Effectively oversee the function of the MI Administrative area(s) to ensure all administrative processes are completed and an efficient patient journey through the department is achieved.
- In conjunction with MI Administration Manager, develop recommendations for workflow improvement and ensure that any changes are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
- Contribute to the establishment of key referrer relationships both within St Vincent's Private Hospital and external to the organisation.
- Participate in the creation and distribution of promotional communications to specialists and GP's.
- Play a key role in forming and monitoring marketing activities with external stakeholders
- Ensure efficient patient scheduling and team function to enable maximal utilisation of equipment.
- Projecting the department's caring, professional image to patients and referring clinicians.
- Ensure all reception tasks are performed to a high standard maintaining a steady and efficient level of activity within the department
- Produce a monthly roster for administrative staff ensuring all areas of duty are attended to.
- Support clinical teams to improve performance and efficiencies in the local area.
- Attend committees and meetings providing subject matter expertise.
- Participate in the recruitment process to fill vacant administrative positions, including advertising, interviewing and selecting appropriate candidates.
Classifications for this position will range from HS2 - HS21 ($66,768 - $73,811 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- VCE or equivalent
- Medical administration work history, imaging desirable.
- High degree of computer literacy.
- Professional telephone and reception skills.
- Customer service management experience.
- Experience in medical claims, invoicing and receipting.
- Previous leadership experience in a clinical or administrative setting.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain

About the Medical Imaging Department
The Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a busy imaging department providing a wide range of diagnostic and procedural imaging services to inpatients and outpatients of SVHM. The department operates across several locations within the Fitzroy campus; MID, St Vincent's Private Radiology and the MRI & PET/CT Centre.
