Sydney | Hybrid | High-Impact Strategic Role in Tech
MARS are working on a newly created opportunity for a Technology Strategy & Performance Manager to join a high-performing Executive Office team within a major financial services organisation. This role is designed to support strategic tech priorities, drive cost optimisation, and contribute to large-scale technology and operational transformation.
This isn't your typical BAU role - it's a rare opportunity to work alongside executive leadership on complex business challenges, strategic planning, and performance improvement initiatives that sit within the Technology function and shape the future of tech and operations.
A background in strategy consulting (tier 1 or tier 2) is essential. Whether you've worked at a top-tier consultancy or a highly regarded boutique firm, we're specifically looking for someone who can bring structured thinking, analytical rigour, and executive-level communication from day one.
What You'll Be Doing:
Partnering with cross-functional teams across Technology, Finance, and Risk to identify and drive performance uplift opportunities
Supporting initiatives around tech spend efficiency, capability development, vendor/licensing optimisation, and cost transformation
Driving structured problem-solving, data analysis, and crafting high-impact executive-level insights
Creating compelling narratives and presentations to support tech operating model design and ongoing strategic improvement
Owning a key area within a lean, high-impact team, with the opportunity to scale into broader strategy initiatives
What We're Looking For:
1-3 years' experience in a strategy consulting role (tier 1 or tier 2 is a must), or in a corporate strategy / transformation role within a complex organisation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
Confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable with ambiguity
Self-starter with the drive to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-impact work
Familiarity with Excel and/or BI tools is a plus
