About the Role
As our Fleet & Asset Maintenance Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping Red Lily’s physical resources running smoothly—from our vehicle fleet to our facilities and essential equipment. You’ll oversee fleet safety and compliance, coordinate servicing and repairs, support infrastructure projects, and ensure our buildings and assets are maintained to a high standard. You’ll also help maintain AEDs across remote clinics and homelands and provide essential WHS and administrative support to the business team.
This is a Darwin-based role that involves regular travel to remote communities across West Arnhem.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, registration, and compliance of Red Lily’s vehicle fleet.
- Coordinate servicing, repairs, insurance, and logbook management.
- Support WHS through inspections, maintenance, and risk reporting.
- Manage building, grounds, and infrastructure maintenance, including contractors.
- Maintain the Asset Register and ensure testing/tagging of equipment and AEDs.
- Assist with minor infrastructure projects and refurbishment coordination.
- Procure goods and services in line with policy and approval processes.
- Provide administrative support for bookings, facilities, and compliance tasks.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in fleet and asset management, maintenance coordination, and contractor engagement.
- Sound understanding of WHS responsibilities in a facilities or fleet environment.
- Proven experience in an administrative or operational support role, preferably in a remote or multi-site setting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and confident in using electronic systems, including procurement and asset management tools.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with Aboriginal communities.
- Willingness to travel to remote Red Lily sites as required by air or road to manage tasks and support operations.
- NT Driver’s License.
- A satisfactorily Police check (through Safe NT website). A criminal history will not exclude an applicant from this position unless it is relevant to the role.
- Current Working with Children’s Card (OCHRE card) or ability to obtain.
- Full rights to work in Australia.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of facilities management software and contract management systems.
