Job Description:

Are you an experienced Oracle Server DBA SME looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies? We are seeking a highly skilled professional with 12-15 years of overall experience, including 3-5 years in Azure PaaS and some Terraform skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Performance Tuning: Proficient in optimizing database performance through advanced tuning techniques and troubleshooting.
• Security Hardening: Expertise in implementing security measures to protect databases from vulnerabilities and threats.
• Automation: Skilled in automation using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM/Bicep to streamline database management processes.
• High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR): Knowledgeable in ensuring database availability and disaster recovery planning.
• Cost Optimization: Ability to optimize database operations to reduce costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Ansible Playbooks: Solid understanding of Ansible playbooks and managing Ansible Tower for automation.
• SQL Tuning: Experience in refactoring SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Pre-installation Tasks: Responsible for pre-installation tasks, installing Oracle DB, and managing patch updates.
• Database Upgrade and Migration: Strong knowledge of database upgrade, migration, patch installation, and implementation.
• Terraform Deployment: Deploy and manage Terraform codes, with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Ansible Automation: Focus on automation through Ansible and Terraform to enhance database management.
• Oracle Database Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Database 12c/19c on Unix platform in standalone and RAC environment.
• RAC Architecture: Specialized in Oracle RAC, understanding the complexity of RAC architecture across servers, OS, network, and storage layer.
• Backup and Recovery Management: Strong knowledge of RMAN backup & recovery management and troubleshooting backup issues.
