The Purpose of the GSM is to engage, partner with and respond to workforce and health needs of our local, regional and rural communities.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on three campuses located in Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.

About the role

The Graduate School of Medicine is seeking an accomplished academic or clinician with demonstrated expertise in digital technologies to design and embed use of digital technologies to support quality medical education for rurally-based medical students in the four-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.

The role of Senior Lecturer, Digital Technologies is a teaching-focused position dedicated to ensuring that students and staff in rural settings effectively and appropriately use digital tools to navigate the demands and complexities of medical education. A key responsibility of this position is to align digital technologies and resources with the specific requirements of rural medical practice, preparing students for contemporary and future healthcare environments. The aim is to foster digital health competence among medical graduates, supporting their readiness for practice in digitally enabled rural healthcare systems.
