The Role
The role is significant and directly contributes to the delivery of Navy Aviation effects in a diverse and challenging global environment now and into the future.
The APS 6 Assistant Product (Fleet) Manager:
- Is accountable for the development of product management strategies and plans, enabling delivery and reporting on the requirements and expectations of the management of Defence assets.
- Is required to understand and apply product management policies, processes and procedures to support the product management of Defence assets.
- Engages and negotiates with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
- Builds and sustains productive working relationships to achieve product management.
About our Team
The Romeo Enterprise Office ensures both the mission readiness and airworthiness of the Royal Australian Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff through the provision of support services via Foreign Military Sales agreements with the US Government, and International and Australian Industry Partners.
The successful applicant will join a diverse team made up of APS, ADF, US Navy and contractors, all driven to ensure the availability of the RAN’s MH-60R Seahawk Romeo Helicopter fleet and the safety of its aviators and aircraft maintenance staff is delivered under a cost effective and financially compliant framework.

You will apply your highly developed logistics, contract management, Continuing Airworthiness Management support and business acumen skills to ensure MH-60R availability and readiness requirements are achieved.
You will apply your highly developed communication and engagement skills to prepare briefings, submissions, reports and communicate issues and opportunities.
